The wood and design of Candame, the contract brand of Aluman, welcome travellers to the Parador de la Costa da Morte in Muxía (A Coruña, Galicia). The main entrance to the complex welcomes them with large cedar wood latticework. It is the prelude to a building in contact with the landscape, dominated by simple materials, pure lines and natural textures, seeking a dialogue with the environment.
The terraces of the rooms are fitted with ipe wood partitions, a material that is highly resistant to humid environments. Ayous wood partitions were used in the bathrooms. The Parador de la Costa da Morte has more than 60 rooms, all with views of the Lourido cove with the town of Muxía and the Cabo Vilano lighthouse in the background, a scene that can also be seen from the restaurant area, where Candame installed a 4.5-metre-high laminated and lacquered pine curtain wall, which adds warmth to the room.
